Today is Game Day.  We started the day by tailgating with my friends from Hawai’i, Clement Mahiai and Travis Sumic.   After tailgating, we got our gear and checked in for our credentials.   I met up with my other photographer friends and got ready to shoot the game.   This game felt different.  I could not stop thinking about the fact, that the NFL might move the Pro Bowl out of Hawai’i after the contract with the state expires in 2009.   I think this was the most commonly asked question by Hawai’i media.  And the majority of players that was asked, said they prefer the game to be played in Hawai’i.  For a lot of locals from Hawai’i, the Pro Bowl is the only chance they could actually see an NFL game in person, not to mention it’s all about tradition.   For some, it’s been a long standing tradition in Hawai’i to attend the Pro Bowl and to take our kids to the fields for the thrill of getting an autograph. I know my dad took me, when I was a kid and now my dad is taking my nephew to the field, just like he did for me.    I hope Hawai’i and the NFL come into some type of agreement since the Pro Bowl will not be the same if it’s not in Hawai’i.

Okay, enough rambling on the possiblity of the Pro Bowl leaving. Anyway,  both teams played hard and Adrian Peterson of the NFC was very impressive, not to mention Terrell Owens was outstanding.   Adrian Peterson won the MVP award and he is only a Rookie.    Well, after walking up and down the field trying to get the “shot” and everyone baking in the sun.   The NFC ended up defeating the AFC, 42 to 30.
