Pro Bowl Trip Day 2 - Feb 5

AFC PRO BOWL PRACTICE

AFC Practice   shk20080205_0116.jpg

The AFC’s Practice started at  9am at Kapolei High School.  I decided to brave the rain so I can bring you a report.  To my surprise, once I got to Kapolei, there was no sign of rain.  I had about 20 minutes to shoot practice because I needed to help my friend Tak Makita with his hotel move.  Once I got through three security check points, I was ready to work.  The public were restricted from watching practice or entering school grounds, probably because school was in session.  At least, the students had a good show during their break.

Most of the day, consisted of Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, and Derek Anderson throwing to their receivers.  It was a light contact practice, they practiced with no pads…..some with no helmets.  Cleveland’s Derek Anderson seemed to have forgotten his helmet since he practiced the day without one.

Rain, Rain Go Away!!!!

Just my luck, I come to Hawaii from the Pacific NW for a down pour of rain.   Well, I have to wait and see on the weather before I start my journey to the Pro Bowl practices and other events.  Rain, cameras, and photos don’t really go together…or is it because I forgot my rain gear in Seattle.  And need to buy some before going to the practices.

 Pro Bowl Roster Changes…

New England Patriot’s Tom Brady and Randy Moss will not be playing in the Pro Bowl, due to injuries.  Brady will be replaced by Derek Anderson of the Cleveland Browns and Moss will be replaced by Chad Johnson of the Cincininati Bengals.

Antonio Gates and Jamal Williams of the San Diego Chargers decided not to play in the Pro Bowl.  Cleveland Browns tight end Kellen Winslow will replace Gates and Pittsburgh’s Casey Hampton will replace Williams.
